| | Our house caught on fire last summer and we joined Angie's list to find a good contractor. We interviewed about 5 contractors. Hess was by far the most responsive, reasonable and helpful contractor that we looked at. The whole house needed reconstruction, from bathrooms to kitchen to electrical and plumbing and it took about 5 months to rebuild. Ken Hess really went the extra mile in helping us with fantastic design ideas (we didn't need an architect), getting permits, and the work was super detailed and beyond expectations. He kept us updated, and even did extra things like reframe certain spots in the house that weren't burnt, but that he thought were weak. The house was totally rewired; he reconfigured a laundry area and at the end of the job he even washed the windows and vacuumed the new carpet so that the house would look brand spanking new!! A real scrupulous professional. I can't say enough about what a great experience it was to work with Ken Hess. I have already given his name to 2 others. He's fantastic. Anthony & Donna
